Sunset into Night

We drove up over Skyline on the night before the last lunar eclipse to try to get a few shots of the stars. But the full moon was so bright that my attempts to capture any good images of the stars were to no avail. So I just took what nature and the weather gave me. Here are some images of the sunset, and then some images of the night sky and the Full Moon.

These sunset images were taken on the night of the forecast lunar eclipse. The sunset was beautiful. But the clouds covered the sky, and the eclipse was just a blurry light in the sky.

I took the following images the night before the forecast lunar eclipse. My main reason for venturing to this location BEFORE the eclipse was that the forecast was for clear night skies. I wanted to take advantage of the weather being in my favor this night.
